My friend Maika is currently studying in Prague. I finally made it for a visit and got a sneak-peak into her life as a student in Prague. Of course we did some sightseeing, like walking through Letná Park, past the Prague Castle over the Charles Bridge into the old town, where we ate a Trdleník, a sweet Czech candy. However, I enjoyed exploring “her” spots of the city, like the Farmers Market at Námestí Jirího z Podebrad (right in the middle of the hip student district Zizkov), which is open everyday and sells great beer (of course) and self-made pasta. In the evening we went out for drinks with some of her French friends and ended up in the “Vzorkovna”, a hidden club in a cellar with lots to explore behind every corner – definetly a must-do!
